Bilateral TMJ joint replacement Surgery

Hi my name is Nikki. I am happily married to my best friend with two beautiful children. Around 15 years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I had long before that just never was diagnosed. Over the past years I have developed TMJ, and due to having RA as well, the disease has progressed rather fast! My joints are so badly deteriorated they are almost bone to bone, with this happens I will not be able to open my mouth properly! I have very painful symptoms such as headaches, facial pain, pain behind my eyes, ear pain, neck pain, ear popping, tinnitus, and my airway is very restricted, to name a few. I have gone from my dentist, to a TMJ specialist, and now to this surgeon, all with the same answer “YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS SURGERY”! So now here we are looking at jaw replacement surgery, with a few other things being done at the same time. This is a serious surgery and it needs to be done for my quality of life! So here I am asking for help, it’s all I know to do at this point! I want to be healthy for my children! I am not old enough for all this yet, but here we are!
