Bill and Aaron Young

UPDATE: The outpouring of support from family, friends, acquaintances, and total strangers has been so unbelievable. When I started this for Cindy, I was hoping for 25 to 30 thousand. Never in my imagination would I think the money raised would reach $150k+.

From the bottom of all of my family's hearts, Thank you to all who donated and to all who have cried out to God in our name. He hears us and mourns with us. It is through Him we will heal.

When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. ---Psalms 34 17-20

On October 25, 2023, Bill and Aaron were tragically gunned down while at Sparetime Bowling in Lewiston, Maine during the Lewiston mass shootings.

Bill was a hardworking man who was all about his family. He was always trying to make people laugh and always enjoyed life to the fullest. If anyone ever needed anything, Bill and his wife were the first to lend a hand. I couldn't have asked for a better big brother.

Aaron was a sophomore in high school who enjoyed doing anything his father was doing, watching Family Guy, and bowling. He really was a gentile and thoughtful kid.

As Bill was the sole breadwinner for his family, as Cindy, his wife is on disability, these next few months are not only going to be excruciating, but hard financially. Losing a husband would be hard enough on a person, but losing your child on the same day is unspeakable. I would like to collect enough funds to help with expenses and to help her financially survive while grieving. Nobody should have to worry about expenses while going through this. Anything you can give would help.

Bill and Aaron are survived by his wife, Cindy, and daughters Lauren and Kayla.

I am Bill's brother and Aaron's Uncle, Rob. I am from Bowdoinham, Maine, but currently live in Maryland.
