Helping Bill and Rhonda's ongoing Medical Battles

Hi, our names are Terri and Crystal Fowler, the daughters of Bill and Rhonda Fowler. We are starting this GofundMe page to help dad and mom with their financial burden due to ongoing medical travels out of town.

Dad and Mom hardly asks or accepts help from others, but they would take the shirt of their backs to help others in a heart beat, it's just who they are.

On October 17th 2022, dad had Neurosurgery that was performed on his back. Having this surgery has been very debilitating and he is unable to work. Recovery from his surgery coud take more than a year. Dad has also been doctoring for his heart and may have to travel to Toronto. He has had to make multiple trips to Thunder Bay to undergo numerous medical procedures and still has more trips to come.

On March 6th, 2023, Mom had to get a mass removed from her breast. The results from her biopsy showed that she has Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (Breast Cancer).

Mom had to take a leave of absence from work early because she got very sick with a viral infection and couldn't chance not having her next surgery.

On April 27th 2023, mom will be going back to Winnipeg to remove the rest of the mass.

After healing from surgery, mom will be undergoing a possible 5 weeks of radiation. This means traveling back and forth to Winnipeg for 5 weeks and 5 days a week in hotel costs.

Since dad went for surgery in October 2022, mom and dad have traveled between Thunder Bay and Winnipeg at least once or twice a month.

Not to long ago dad found out he has to go for open heart surgery and get a valve replacement and bypass. His surgery date for that is September 14th in Toronto. Also, not that long ago, dad found out that he has a tumor on his kidney and pancreas which recently found out that they are cancerous and will need surgery for that but they want to do the open heart surgery first. Recover from that and then do the pancreas surgery, they will not know if the spleen is affected until they go in.
