Many of you know Bill and if you do you know about his 'love' Robin.
Robin was admitted to the hospital with CoVid on November 25th, on a ventilator for weeks, and thankfully survived that, rehab, a fall and was home and doing well.
Then she suddenly came down with a knee infection, was hospitalized, and went through surgery once again. They cleaned out all the infection and she is now home. That's the good news.
The challenging news is she now has sepsis in her bloodstream and the treatment is no joke. For the next 39 days, she will need to have IV antibiotics administered at home -- sometimes by a visiting nurse and sometimes by Bill and Robin (they get trained later today on how to do this). She has a line in her arm to act as the port for this intervention.
That this is serious is underscored by the fact that they will need to go $5,000 out-of-pocket for the antibiotics but that's actually good news as the originally recommended treatments were going to cost about $24,000 - after insurance! Thank goodness for this alternative.
Bill is needing to take 2 - 4 weeks off work from his counseling ministry. There will also be extra expenses that could help with care and healing for both Bill and Robin.
Let's give what we can to carry the load and also carry Robin to Jesus to be healed. Thanks in advance for your generosity.
