Bill Fowler Burn Recover Fund
Donation protected
On October 12th, My Dad, Bill was lighting an outdoor fire on his property when an unfortunate incident occurred. As a result he received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to the majority of his legs and left hand. He was home by himself at the time, but luckily was quick to respond and do what he could to put out the fire on his burning clothes. Bill was immediately transported to hospital where he spent over a month heavily sedated to help manage the pain and receive regular dressing changes.
Bill has since been released from hospital and is now back home where he will spend time healing his burns and focus on physiotherapy to regain strength and full range of motion to his legs and hand. We anticipate this to be a long healing journey for him.
As many of you know, Bill is a musician and quite passionate about sharing his love for music through playing for others . Now retired, he spends a lot of his time as an active member in the community of Barriere organizing local events such as Music in the Park and volunteering his time providing music entertainment during local celebrations such as Canada Day, Remembrance Day and the local Fall Fair just to name a few. Bill is also actively involved in the Barriere Outdoors Club as an acting Director for the past 3 years, participating in Ski outings, organizing work bees and providing music entertainment during club celebrations.
I am looking to raise funds to help with some of the costs that are accumulating as a result of his injuries.
Additional costs would include:
Winter Preparation - Yard Maintenance/Wood Splitting
Snow Removal and Sanding
Fuel for Travel to Dr. and Therapy Appointments
In Home Care
Thank you for keeping Bill in your thoughts and prayers and helping share his story so that we can reach or exceed his goal, making it possible for him to focus solely on his recovery and rehabilitation.
Thank You,
Angelina
