Help with funeral costs and medical bills

Hi, my name is Ali and I am making this fundraiser for my mom, Michelle, and stepdad, Bill. For those of you who know Bill and Michelle Harris, you know they are two of the funniest, most loving, and genuine people on this planet. They are each other's soulmates and when my mom introduced me to Bill I could see how they completed each other. Their marriage has not been easy. Since 2014 my mom has suffered from medical problem after medical problem and Bill has always been there to take care of her. She survived emergency open-heart surgery, two types of cancer, a brain tumor, and brain surgery. Bill never once left her side. He is my mom's rock and the love of her life and now she is the one who must take care of him. Early Friday morning, Bill fell down the stairs after going down to get water, hit his head, and immediately passed out. Luckily my mom heard the commotion and rushed downstairs to call 911. He was brought to the emergency room and they took him in for surgery. He suffered a skull fracture and blood/blood clots in and around his brain as well as swelling. During surgery, his blood pressure was out of control causing him to crash, but the doctors were able to bring him back. They removed most of the blood and removed part of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain. He is on a ventilator to assist with breathing. They put in a drain to help remove the rest of the blood because surgery is too dangerous. He is mostly stable, despite a few seizures and fever spikes and they sedated him to help the brain heal. A full recovery is highly unlikely, but all thoughts and prayers are appreciated. Bill is a father, brother, husband, and grandfather and there are so many people in the world who love and care for him. The situation is changing on a daily basis, so I will try to keep this page updated. It will be 3-4 days before the doctors know the full extent of the damage to his brain. The recovery process and rehabilitation is going to be a long and expensive one, so anything helps.
