NAVY VET NEEDS YOUR HELP

Alan Jackson: "Where were you when the world stopped turning?" My son-in-law Bill Phillips will always remember the month, day and time when the VA doctor in Atlanta, GA told him and his wife that he had stage 4 lung cancer.

I am raising money for Bill who has spent his adult life serving his country, and others, in the Navy for 26 years only taking one day of sick leave. After retiring he has spent most of his time working as a manager for senior retirement communities. He loved serving seniors, it was his passion. Serving others has always been Bill's passion. Bill's medical expenses will mostly be paid for but his monthly bills will not. I want Bill to go to bed at night and rise each morning with just one thing on his mind...FIGHT THE CANCER AND GET BETTER.

In March 2018 He started to feel weak and exhausted. He developed a terrible cough and was short of breath. By April doctors at VA were able to determine he had stage 4 lung cancer. He was then forced to quit work, and enter the hospital for treatment and chemo. He is weak, on oxygen, and has a chest tube. Bill can no longer work.

Upon retiring he worked as a chef for Club 908 in Conyers, Ga. which was owned by his sister Kipplyn Stewart. While there he met Genessa and they were married in 2014. Upon the cafe closing in 2009 he moved to Florida to study at MMI. Upon finishing the school, he and Genessa found work with a senior retirement community in 2014 where he has worked until April 2018.

I want to thank all of you for your time assistance, prayers, and thoughts in the days and years to come.

Bill has served his country with honor. He has missed birthdays, funerals, births, the first words his son spoke, anniversaries, and wedding as he was serving his country. LET'S NOW PROTECT AND HELP BILL. Please keep the prayers and money coming.
