Bill Rushton

We are saddened to inform you that Bill Rushton passed away on the 21st January.

Bill worked for the council for 13 years and went over and above every day taking huge pride in ensuring the parks were in tip top condition. Many of you will recognise Bill, he chatted to dog walkers, school children and people out for a walk. Always a friendly face, with a particular love for the dogs he knew along his rounds, Bill was very loyal, kind and gentle, and fond of a joke. He will be sorely missed by us all.

This comes only 8 months after losing his son James Rushton tragically.

He leaves behind his wife Kathryn, daughter Jessica and his 2 grandchildren.

Any funds raised will go towards funeral costs and supporting his family.

Please do write anything personal to you because the family are so blown away hearing all your beautiful stories how everyone knew him, even the dogs!!
