Bill S. Preston Esq. vet bill

Last Saturday my husband and I went to a wedding on the Navajo Reservation and found an abandoned dog that was going to die if left there.  We scooped him up and brought him home after a 4 hour car trip with him sleeping most of the way. Once we got home we realized he was in worse shape than we initially thought.  He was covered in ticks and dried blood.  He was so exhausted he fell asleep in the bath and we had to hold his head up to keep him from drowning.  His wet fur showed his that he’s all skeleton.  After 3 tick baths and plucking about 70 ticks off of him we thought he making a big improvement until lunch today he was very lethargic.  My  husband rushed him to our vet who a bunch of blood work and found out he’s very anemic and has a serious blood infection. He was rushed to an animal hospital for a blood transfusion, antibiotics, IV fluids and  x-rays to see if anything was also wrong with his heart or lungs and at least one night stay at VCA. We had the hard decision of fighting for him and paying a huge vet bill or letting him go.  We decided if he fought this hard for his life up until now, we had to fight for him the rest of his way.  His story has touched many so far, and we’re just seeing if anyone can help us with this huge bill that a few days ago we weren’t expecting. 
Anything would be a huge help, and please pray for Bill while he fights.
