Bill Smallwood's Emergency Surgery Recovery Fund
Donation protected
If you're reading this, chances are you're already aware that I'm recovering from a pair of emergency abdominal surgeries, due to a perforated bowel and sepsis (septic shock), from which I nearly died....as well as another potentially life-threatening condition, Deep Vein Thrombosis (blood clots) due to being in the ICU and unable to move, for nearly a month. My deductible reset at the end of the year, while I was in the ICU, leaving me in a position to have to basically pay the deductible twice over, as I had to be transferred to an acute rehab facility, following my stay in the hospital. The costs will exceed my $6000 goal, which I'm not realistically expecting to be able to cover entirely with GoFundMe contributions, but anything anyone is able to contribute would be appreciated, as I have very limited funds (we could never even afford to start a 401K) and I'm also taking care of Gail, the mother of my late wife, Peggy, who only has Social Security for income.
Thanks again for any help you are able to provide, and for caring, even if you can't.
