Dear Family, Friends, Co-Workers, and the Dog Mushing Community,

 

We are writing to let you know about the loss of Bill (William Clyde) Sturdevant. Bill died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from an aortic aneurism in Anchorage, Alaska. His wife of 50 years, Julie Dekreon, was with him when the aneurism occurred. He was helicoptered to Providence Hospital, but died on the operating table while Julie was driving into Anchorage to be with him.

 

Bill was recently retired from teaching at Wasilla High School in Special Education. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, his retirement pension is still delayed and there is literally no income or money in the family for burial, memorial, or day to day living.

Hospital costs: still unknown

Cremation: $1695.00

Viewing: $150.00

Paperwork/Death Certificates: $180.00

Homeowners Insurance: due in 2 weeks $1200.00

The funeral service will be held on October 21st, 4:00 P.M., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church , 1201 E. Bogard Road, Wasilla, AK.

 

We are absolutely devastated by Bill’s passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover costs.

 

Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this very difficult time.

 

We want to give Bill the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
