I am assisting with this Gofundme.

Thelma has been battling an aggressive form of cancer for some time now. During this difficult time, Bill recently lost his mother very unexpectedly and laid her to rest today.

We are starting this for a meal train and/or funds during this difficult time. Please refer to the post below from their daughter for additional details regarding Thelma's current health status.

On Friday, May 13th we found out Mom’s cancer had moved to her liver. We were also told she had maybe a year left.

On Wednesday, May 18th she was admitted for the hospital. They ran tests and found out the cancer had moved to her brain. We also found out the type of cancer was Leptomeningeal disease. We were told her only treatment option was 10 rounds of radiation on her brain and then a chemo so strong she’d need to be in the hospital to receive it. All the while the other cancer on her spine and liver would be untreated. We were told maybe 6 months with treatment.

She had her first treatment on Tuesday, May 31st.

On Tuesday, June 7th she was admitted to the hospital after radiation treatment #6. She was so weak and wasn’t eating or drinking much at all. They did an MRI to see if the radiation was doing any good.

We found out today that radiation isn’t working. Since the radiation isn’t helping she chose to stop treatment. She will be going home (hopefully) tomorrow on hospice care. We were told (she doesn’t know this part, and she WILL NOT know) she has maybe a few days to a week left.
