Bill Turck Stroke Recovery Fundraiser

On May 8th, 2022, while on a weekend trip with his wife Ana in a remote area of Central Wisconsin, our dear friend Bill Turck woke to discover that he was experiencing paralysis on the right side of his body. A local trauma center diagnosed him as having suffered a serious stroke, during which a blood vessel had burst in the left hemisphere of his Cerebral Motor Cortex.

After being transported back to the Chicago area, Bill spent nearly a week in the expert care of Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center’s specialized Stroke Center team. While Bill has been released and his prognosis for recovery for is good, he will need to undergo a minimum of 10 weeks of Occupational and Physical Therapy to regain motor skills, dexterity and strength. During this recovery period, Bill will be unable to drive or work.

For so many years, Bill has helped others, using his radio show and social media platforms to spotlight worthy causes and amplify the voices of those in need. Now, Bill needs our help to offset rapidly mounting hospital bills, and soften the blow of lost income and transportation costs so that he can focus on what is most important - getting well.
