Bill Welsh Rehabilitation Fund

Thanks for all of your donations, Bill is rehabbing and resting at home and we are now closing the GoFundMe. Sharon his wife is an angel and is now caring for him in their home. "Hi, my name is Tom Blainey and I am fundraising for my good friend and cycling buddy Bill Welsh. While on holiday in Portugal Bill had a horrendous accident while navigating a tricky descent. He suffered serious brain trauma, concussion, fractured clavicle and road rash. He has been in a hospital in Faro Portugal since February 16 and is in serious but stable condition. Luckily his wife Sharon was there on the trip and is taking care of things and trying to get him home soon. The funds will be used to pay for the many extra medical costs they will incur on the road to recovery. Also Sharon is self employed and not able to earn an income at this time, and has decided to close her business to take care of her husband. Bill has been in St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto since March 6 and is continuing to improve but still a ways away. Anybody that knows Bill knows his love of cycling and that this is truly a tragic end to what was supposed to be a fun cycling vacation."
