Bills while at Beyond Malibu YL Camp!

Hi everyone! I’m Alena Swan, and I have just recently got accepted for an internship this summer at Young Life’s Beyond Malibu adventure camp in Canada! I have worked at 3 other Young Life camps in the past, but I have never interned OR been out of the country! 

I have been praying for the opportunity to intern at one of Young Life’s summer camps since doing summer staff at Frontier Ranch in Colorado (2021). After seeing high schooler’s lives change right in front of my eyes by accepting the Lord into their lives, I knew I wanted to do more than just a month of work. The interns I met that summer were devoted in leading us to success in our faith and our jobs, which was what gave me the initial desire of interning in the future. Andddd after a year of prayer, the opportunity has come!

So, why the fundraiser???

This internship will be unpaid, so I will not be able pay for my rent, insurance, and car payment as I do now with my part-time job. I leave May 17th and will be back August 24th, so 3 months worth of bills :/
