Billy Abbott - Well done thy faithful servant

Shining Light Baptist Church was saddened yesterday to hear of a great man of God and a dear friend’s unexpected passing. Please pray for the Abbott family in the days ahead as Billy Abbott went home to be with Jesus whom he loved and, with his family, served as an evangelist . Pray for Diana, his wife, their children and grandchildren. A hole will be left behind from his passing, but what a comfort to know he is with Jesus rejoicing forever. He impacted so many lives. He was a dear man of God, a son, a husband, a father, a father-in-law, a grandfather. He was an evangelist who stood firm for the Word of God.  Also pray for Camp Hosanna as they are starting their first week of camp without Brother Abbott as Camp Director.  We never know what tomorrow will bring. If Billy could ask you some questions, he would ask:  "Are you ready? Do you know where you will spend eternity?"


Shining Light Baptist Church is helping to raise funds for Diana to help ease this financial burden. Their livelihood was through Billy's calling of being an evangelist.  All proceeds will go directly to Diana to pay for final expenses and to help her with any immediate financial needs she may have while going through this difficult time. 


Any support you can offer would be appreciated. Please continue to pray for the family and friends as they go through this sorrowful time. It is difficult for those of us left behind but Billy Abbott is now rejoicing at the feet of God.
