Hi All,
My sister, Emily, and I were prompted to create this page through a partnership with Caring Bridge. Honestly, we were a bit weary of it because we know my dad would never ask for financial aid on a public platform like this. When asked how he can afford 6 kids, his response is always to the effect of his kids are priceless and, with hard work, faith, and love, God provides. Unfortunately, dad never envisioned a day in which he would not be able to work and honestly, a diagnosis of advanced Biliary Cancer.
As much as I wish we could provide for our family while our parents are gone, it’s admittedly not feasible. We are incredibly blessed for the treatment my dad has received thus far (Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Methodist Speciality and Transplant in San Antonio) as well as the opportunity to continue treatment at MD Anderson in Houston. But as treatment continues, so do costs. All that being said, we do not have a numerical “goal”. Of course every little bit helps and we are beyond grateful for the support and love we have received thus far, but our main reason for creating the caringbridge is to grow the number of prayers and supporters to help us along this journey. God is so good.
We are exceptionally blessed to be loved so well by this community! Thank you all for your constant support and strength!
-Meg & Em
