Billy Eyles Brain Surgery Fund
Donation protected
A couple of days before Christmas, Billy Eyles went to the hospital after a few weeks of symptoms like numbness in his face and extremities and having some trouble gathering his thoughts. The combination of symptoms worried the doctors, which led to a variety of tests including an MRI and CT scan to look at his brain. After the doctors looked at his MRI and CT scan, they determined Billy has a large brain tumor on the back left side of his skull (occipital lobe). The diagnosis is a type of Glioma called Astrocytoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer that affects the cells that surround and support the nerves in the brain called Astrocytes. Unfortunately, the rapid growth of this tumor has caused Billy to deteriorate in a matter of DAYS. It has impaired his memory and cognitive abilities, making things like reading and forming sentences when speaking difficult. He also has difficulty moving the right side of his body and has painful neuropathy. He has surgery to remove the tumor on Thursday, December 29th, 2022. The doctors are worried about his recovery because of the location of the tumor with side effects like permanent damage to his vision including blindness, nerve pain, and cognitive impairment. Anybody who knows Billy knows that he has always been a man who would give the shirt off his back for others, but now he is the one who needs our help. Donations will go directly towards medical bills for the tests, the surgery, physical therapy, and other post-operation recovery expenses. Any support and prayers are appreciated in Billy's time of need!
