Billy naar Bonaire

Hallo allemaal, ik ben Ingrid Havermans en samen met een aantal mensen zamelen we geld in voor Billy Valentijn. Hiermee is al meer dan 6 jaar geleden gestart op Bonaire. Billy is nu 35 en woont vanwege zijn handicap al 21 jaar in een instelling in Nederland, omdat de zorg daar beter afgestemd is Billy zijn handicap. Sindsdien is hij nooit meer terug geweest naar zijn geboortegrond. Zijn moeder heeft een poos in Nederland gewoond, maar woont nu ook alweer 3 jaar op Bonaire. Billy heeft wel contact met zijn familie en vrienden via facebook en via whatsapp. Maar hij is nooit meer zelf echt terug geweest om op Bonaire tijd door te brengen met zijn naaste familie. Er zijn geldinzamelingsacties geweest op Bonaire. En ook Billy is zelf actief geweest. Hij heeft schilderijen verkocht, die hij middels momdschilderen zelf gemaakt heeft. Er is dmv alle acties bijna 17000 dollar ingezameld. Maar dit is lang niet genoeg om de reis te kunnen bekostigen. Billy moet namelijk liggend worden vervoerd ivm zijn handicap. Daarvoor moeten er 9 stoelen tijdelijk worden verwijderd. Billy moet voor zowel de heenreis als de terugreis 18 stoelen bekostigen, omdat de stoelen niet verkoopbaar zijn. Ze zijn alleen in Amsterdam terug te plaatsen cq te verwijderen. Het kan alleen met KLM. Dat betekent dat Billy in totaal 36 stoelen moet bekostigen. Vervolgens moet er ook nog een vluchtbegeleider mee op de heenreis en op de terugreis. En Billy heeft op Bonaire ook een verblijf en de nodige zorg nodig. Dat moet allemaal worden bekostigd.

Vanwege Billy's handicap heeft hij minimale inkomsten. Zijn familie op Bonaire is ook niet in staat om de reis van Billy te bekostigen.

Het ingezamelde geld zal gebruikt worden om de reis,het verblijf en de verzorging van Billy te bekostigen. Het is Billy' s droom om weer een keer op Bonaire bij zijn familie en vrienden te kunnen zijn

Hi everyone, my name is Ingrid Havermans and together with a group of friends we started this GoFundMe for Billy Valentijn who has been trying to save up money for 6 years. 

Billy (35) was born on Bonaire but due to his disabilities he's been living in a care facility in the Netherlands for 21 years. He has never been back to Bonaire. His mother lived with him in the Netherlands for a while but has been back on the island for three years along with the rest of his familie and friends. He is able to stay in touch with them through phone calls but his big wish is to be able spend some time with them on his beloved Bonaire. Billy and his family have been saving and collecting money for years and have been able to come up with $17000 unfortunately this is not nearly enough to be able to go on this journey. 

In order for Billy to fly, he needs to be transported on his hospital bed. This means that 9 chairs will have to be removed from the airplane, as the airline will only be able to re-add the chairs once the plane is back in Amsterdam, Billy will have to pay for these 9 seats four times, 36 seats. On top of this Billy will need someone to accompany him on his flights and accomodations and care when he is on Bonaire. All money raised will go towards Billy's flights and stay on Bonaire.
