Billy Salazar

Billy Salazar was in a boat accident while working Sunday September 20th, 2020. As the nurses and
Doctors describe it, it was one of those horrific accidents that only happen in movies. In the accident Billy’s ear was sliced in half and his skull was cracked open. Billy was air lifted  to the Stony Brooke Hospital.             Shortly after he arrived at the ER Billy stopped breathing on his own. He is now in a coma.   Since then he’s  had brain surgery and two ear reconstructive surgeries. Doctors have shared that the future right now is    unknown. However what they would like to see is that in 3-4 weeks for him to start breathing on his own     and come out of the coma. We have to have faith that he will start breathing on his own and he will come     out of coma. Once that happens it will be a very long road to recovery and therapy as we don’t know in         what state of health he will be. 

His family is in complete sorrow and in emotional distress. And now looking at the road ahead and                   preparing for the financial hardship this will bring. Billy’s wife had to leave their home, children, and job        behind to come to New York to be by Billy’s side. Leaving her two children in Florida where they live, to be watched over by family.

For those of you who don’t know Billy he is good friendly guy that is always ready to help without asking      anything in return. We ask ourselves why do bad thing happen to good people with kind hearts, and Billy is an example of that. Billy is simply a happy go lucky kind of guy with a kind soul.

Never In a million years did I ever think I would do a go fund me page. But this family is  in such sorrow           emotionally/mentally and leading into financial hardship. His wife is not able to stay in the hospital with       Billy due to Covid guidelines and is having to rent an apartment in New York. Now having to maintain two   homes. One in New York where Billy is with his wife and another one in Florida where their children are,      plus all the expenses that come with all of it. Billy was self employed and the main provider for his family.

As you can imagine, this is a life altering experience for all of them. I am hoping we can help them raise           enough funds so this family doesn’t have to worry about anything but Billy’s recovery.

Billy Salazar sufrió un accidente de barco mientras trabajaba el Domingo 20 de Septiembre de 2020. Como lo describen las enfermeras y los médicos, fue uno de esos horribles accidentes que solo ocurren en las         películas. El accidente terminó cortándole la oreja por la mitad y partiéndole el craneo. Billy fue trasladado por aire al Hospital Stony Brooke. Poco después de llegar a urgencias, Billy dejó de respirar por sí solo.          Ahora está en coma. Desde entonces ha tenido una cirugía cerebral y dos cirugías reconstructivas de             oído. Los médicos han compartido que se desconoce el futuro en este momento. Sin embargo, lo que les       gustaría ver es que en 3-4 semanas comience a respirar por sí mismo y salga del coma. Tenemos que tener   fe en que empezará a respirar por sí solo y saldrá del coma. Una vez que eso suceda, será un camino muy        largo hasta la recuperación y con terapia, ya que no sabemos en qué estado de salud se encontrará.

Su familia se encuentra sumida en un profundo dolor y angustia emocional. Y ahora, mirando el camino por delante y preparándose para las dificultades financieras que esto traerá. La esposa de Billy tuvo que dejar    su casa, sus hijos y su trabajo para venir a Nueva York y estar al lado de Billy. Dejando a sus dos hijos en         Florida, donde viven, en cuidado de familia.

Para aquellos de ustedes que no conocen a Billy, él es un hombre bueno y amigable que siempre estaba listo para ayudar sin pedir nada a cambio. Nos preguntamos por qué les suceden cosas malas a las personas          buenas de buen corazón, y Billy es un ejemplo de ello. Billy es simplemente un tipo feliz con un alma amable.

Nunca, en un millón de años, pensé que haría una página de Go Fund Me. Pero esta familia  está destrozada emocional / mentalmente y  está atravesando dificultades económicas. Su esposa no puede quedarse en el hospital con Billy debido a las pautas de Covid y tiene que alquilar un apartamento en Nueva York.  Ahora    tiene que mantener dos viviendas. Uno en Nueva York donde Billy está con su esposa y otro en Florida          donde están sus hijos, más todos los gastos que conlleva. Billy trabajaba por cuenta propia y era el principal proveedor de su familia.

Como puedes imaginar, esta es una experiencia que les cambia la vida a todos. Espero que podamos                   ayudarlos a recaudar fondos suficientes para que esta familia no tenga que preocuparse por nada más que por la recuperación de Billy.
