Billy’s Cancer Fund

We have known The Goat for 20 yrs and consider him family; you may know him as Bill Wright, Billy Goat or just The Goat. You may remember him from Crossroads record store, the Rivermill, Back Country or Tangent Outfitters, Aquarius plumbing, helping out at Floydfest, AA as a participant and sponsor or by his radio show on Sunday evenings Billy Goat’s Hoe Down on 90.7 FM. In April he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer. As of right now it has not spread but will start radiation at the end of May which will last 6 weeks. After that he will start chemotherapy 1x every 3 weeks for 4-8 weeks. This will be a 6-12 month process where he may only be able to work 1-2 days a week or not at all. The money we raise will go towards his monthly expenses, medical and transportation. If you are unable to contribute financially, he asks that you send good vibes, prayers and thoughts and any good butt jokes!

If you know The Goat, you know he is a proud man who never asks anyone for anything. He lives a frugal life and has been sober for 19 years and nicotine free for 16. For the past 10 years he has taken a working vacation for 2 weeks to help with Two Trees Catering feeding hundreds of cyclists riding the Empire State ride from New York City to Niagara Falls, which is over 500 miles, to raise money for cancer awareness and research with the Roswell Institute of Buffalo, New York.
