Bing Bing’s medical bills for Rare Disease

Donation protected
Hi,

Bing Bing, my lovely wee one has just been diagnosed with a spinal tumour around neck C5-6 and C7-9, and suspected lymphoma based on clinical and imaging features, however, a definitive diagnosis can not be achieved. She is only 8 years old.

This is a rare disease, the vets were not certain about this disease, so they suggested putting her to sleep - which I rejected. They told me there is only roughly 38 cases that had been recorded on paper, and this is the second case the hospital ever had, and the previous case was in a dog. But Bing Bing is a fighter, she has always been a brave fighter, I can see her will to live shining through her eyes.

Her story is one of resilience. She was a stray cat for 3 years and became a mother of 4 before she was rescued at the shelter. Sadly, her kittens were taken away, leaving her alone on the streets with swollen breasts. I adopted her and she had a period of gorgeous time with me. During the 2019 Christmas time, she escaped home in the snowy winter for 21 days. I had been looking for her all those days and nights, putting food near the house, putting her litter box in the garden, posting flyers for missing cat, going out and looking for her at dawn and sunset each for 3-4 hours every day, doing everything I could to get her back. And when she finally returned, she was just 2.4kg, but her spirit was unbroken. Since then, she has been a happy little angel with me for another 4 years, until she became unable to walk early this year.

She has been fighting in the hospital for the last 2.5 weeks and has been through MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, lumbar puncture, and fine needle aspiration of liver, spleen and kidney. She has just finished radiotherapy and will be starting chemotherapy next week. However, even trying all these means to save her, the best-case scenario will be another 130 days more due to the lack of information on similar cases.

She will need lots of medication for the rest of her life. I have insurance for her, however the insurer seems to be reluctant to pay out the £2K cover due to the cancer nature, she is such an angel.

£664.90 - Xray
£10,607.15 1/3-14/3 Hospitalisation including all treatments (IV fluids, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, lumbar puncture, fine needle aspiration of liver, spleen and kidney, and radiotherapy)
£4000-5000 Chemotherapy
Total: >£16,272.15

I am now hoping to spend whatever time she has left without worrying about the bills or the suggestion of putting her to sleep due to the unsettled bills.

Whatever money is left after Bing Bing crosses over the rainbow bridge will be donated to cat rescue/protection.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donation.
