Bins for Burnsville: Hurricane Helene volunteers need bins!

Bins for Burnsville aims to raise money to buy sturdy bins so volunteers can sort and store items donated for Hurricane Helene relief efforts. The volunteers are currently using space provided by the Yancey County Fire Department to collect, sort, and distribute clothing, but they are looking for a more permanent location, and additional funds raised will go towards that effort.

My friend, Erin Hardy, is one of the people there, organizing volunteers, organizing the donated items, and talking with the people in one of the hardest-hit communities. If she says this is a real need they have, it’s because it is a real need, and it is bigger than she can meet with the resources at her disposal.
