Bio-Business Initiative Kick-Off

Bio-Business Initiative is a registered student organization at UC Berkeley motivated to promote underprivileged high school students in the Bay Area into the healthcare and biotech/pharma industry. We are currently targetting John F. Kennedy High School in Richmond, notoriously known as "Jail for Kids" due to poor learning conditions.  We provide one-on-one mentorship with UC Berkeley students, guest speakers, seminars, internship opportunities, and scholarships to these high school students. All proceeds will be allocated towards college prep resources and marketing campaign resources, including banners, flyers, tables, and tents, in order to grow our scale of operation from a few volunteers to a nonprofit organization. Our goal is to bring awareness and mentorship to these high school students and influence their career pathway to promote their advancement into healthcare.
