Bioness L300 Go system for improved mobility
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dominic. In 2015 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. MS is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks and scars the brain and the nervous system. This can result in an extensive range of symptoms and loss of function. For a while it was manageable, but about three years ago it started taking things away. It took my ability to use my hands and legs reliably. That loss of function caused me to lose the job that I loved and my ability to be active with my children. Those losses had a devastating effect on my mental health, and it also cost me my marriage. My condition degraded to a point that I thought I would eventually need a wheelchair, and I had begun to accept that things would only get worse. I continued to look for any medical breakthrough that could help when I heard about the L300 Go System. It claimed to be a system that detects when you attempt to walk and sends electric signals through your nerves to do things like lifting your foot so it doesn't drag, or to stop your knee from locking when you take a step. I signed up for a trial, and they actually worked! It will take some physical therapy to get used to them, but I realized I could regain a lot of what I lost with these cuffs. I'd be able to get back to work, be independent, and do the things I love with number one on the list being able to do more of the things that my children love that my mobility prevents.
The cuffs cost $12,000 and unfortunately they’re not covered by insurance. I look forward to being mobile and active again, and any assistance that you could provide
would be deeply appreciated.
