Birdie Grace Plunkett NICU fund

Lizzie and Robert finally have another beautiful baby girl! Sweet Birdie Grace Taylor Plunkett was born on October 29, 2016 weighing 2lbs 15 oz and 15.5 inches long.  As most of you know Lizzie, Robert, Chey and Birdie's journey to be a family has quite literally been a labor of love.  Baby Birdie just couldn't wait any longer to join this world and meet her family and friends, so she made her grand entrance 12 weeks early! So far the doctors say she seems to be a strong and tough little girl. The Doctors always aim for the baby to be home by their due date, which in Birdie's case isn't until January, but we're hopeful that she will get to come home sooner. In the meantime, thankfully, she is in good hands in the NICU in Little Rock. The nurses and staff there are amazing and are loving on Baby Birdie whenever her family can’t be there. Lizzie and Robert are so happy to add another precious girl to their family and are beyond grateful to the NICU, doctors and nurses, and their family and friends who have helped them along their journey but until Birdie is home they will be having to split their time between LR and El Dorado which will be tough emotionally, physically and financially. I know if you asked Lizzie or Robert if they needed anything they would say just prayers and maybe a ride to Little Rock if you happen to be going, but I know there's so much more that they need.  If anyone has had to spend time with their family in an out of town hospital or NICU then you realize what a difficult situation this is.  Financially things are tough because Lizzie was placed on very STRICT bedrest for the last 10 weeks of her pregnancy and now she has her baby in the NICU in LR, so her law practice is basically shut down and she has not been able to take on any new cases. This means they are now a one income family. On top of their normal bills, they have medical bills piling up, constant trips to and from LR and El Dorado, traveling expenses (gas, food, lodging), plus they need to be getting their house ready for when Birdie finally gets to come home! As of today, we still haven't had a chance to give Lizzie a proper baby shower so she will need to get a lot of baby gear before Birdie is released from the hospital. Lizzie currently has a baby registry on Amazon at the following link:

I know this time of the year is tough on everyone but if you could help support Lizzie and Robert and their family during this time it would be such a huge blessing for them. Even small $5-$10 donations are appreciated. If you prefer to support them in other ways feel free to reach out to them. Gas cards, restaurant cards, home cooked meals, rides to and from LR, a place to stay in LR, gift cards, hand-me-down baby items, etc....and of course prayers!
