Birmingham Park Bench in Memory of Kurt Stamps

Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe. As community members of the City of Birmingham, we are coming together to donate a park bench in Downtown Birmingham in memory of our friend and familiar face, Wesley Earl Stamps II.
Known to many as Kurt, he was a staple in our community for more than 15 years and was tragically killed on August 8th, 2020. We will miss seeing him around town as he visited local shops and restaurants. We would love to memorialize him, as a community, in the place where he spent the most time - Downtown Birmingham.
Annie Gordon Thomas and David Wachler will be responsible for the funds and transferring the donations to the City of Birmingham. The cost of donating a bench is $1,800. Any extra money raised will be donated to his family or an organization of their choice.
