Disgruntled 37 Year Old Pinoy - BLM Campaign
Donation protected
I'm turning 37 and I'm pissed, angry, and frustrated. I am trying to turn all of these feelings to some meaningful action cause those who are suffering right now don't have time for my feelings. I am a grown ass man and can take care of my own feelings and can buy myself a birthday gift. But....I'm kindly (and aggressively) asking for your help and support in raising $3700 for my 37th birthday (by June 12th, my official birthday). All of the proceeds will be donated to the following organizations (going half on each):
National Police Accountability Project (https://www.nlg-npap.org/) - an organization dedicated to holding law enforcement accountable for misconduct in black communities.
Black Visions Collective (https://www.blackvisionsmn.org/) is a Black, Trans, and Queer led organization in affiliation with the Black Lives Matter Global Network and the official chapter in Minnesota. Their genesis story begins as the official Black Lives Matter Minneapolis chapter. After building an incredible movement which intervened on the behalf of Black Lives across Minnesota, they are now shifting to a more strategic and visionary framework. They are doing this by grounding their work in long term systems change campaigns, community engagement and political education, leadership development, and cultural organizing rooted in transformative justice through a Black queer feminist lens.
