Birthworker Mutual Aid

Piyalli! My name is Míchelle “Miix” Estrada!I am a student birthworker & soon to be certified doula (Aug 2023). I am Mexican of Veracruz Nahua & Yo’eme heritage, reconnecting through birthwork & community support!I am posting this GFM as a support system for myself as I continue my path as a birthworker. As I’ve started this journey, I’ve been supporting families pro-bono or donation based & selling my handmade jewelry to pay for any costs/supplies I need to continue my practice as a community birthworker. I am in the process of becoming a Medi-Cal (insurance + hospital based) doula to support low-income families who deserve the care & support I offer without charging them!I still have supplies & a business license to pay for before I can officially be enrolled & accept clients. My life goal is to be an autonomous decolonial traditional midwife & focus on supporting queer, GNC, trans, non-binary & fat BIPOC birthing people.
