Biscuit's diabetes diagnosis

Hello, I am Lisa and Biscuit is my 16 year old cat. She is an absolute sweetheart, very loving and the most laid back cat I have ever known!

I recently noticed she was drinking vast quantities of water and 2 days ago she was diagnosed with diabetes.

She is not insured and although I will be able to cover the ongoing monthly costs of the insulin that I have to inject her with twice a day, needles, special food etc the initial vet fees have quickly mounted.

She has had 2 appointments this week and a third on Friday. Hopefully once the vet is happy that the insulin dose is right for her I will be able to manage to her condition, but at the moment it's important to keep having her glucose levels monitored by the vet.

I appreciate it is me who had chosen not to have her insured but a friend suggested to me that people may be willing to help with a few pounds towards her bills.
