Bitten by a Coral Snake and fighting for his Life
Tax deductible
We have a sad UPDATE: W2's (stands for Whitey 2) brain is swelling, even if he survives,
he will more than likely have neurological damage. W2's family has made the very hard decision
to let W2 get his wings. This was a heck of a roller coaster ride. I can't thank all of our supporters enough. We tried and I never want to give up and so I always ask the vet "if this was your dog what would you do" and she said "let him go"
THANK YOU EVERYONE, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT both financially and emotionally.
FLY HIGH Whitey 2, you were very loved by your family and those that didn't even know you.
I am getting itemized receipts, they are sending them to my email, I will post them when I get them.
OHAR-Open Hands Animal Rescue was contacted by a frantic owner of a dog named W2
she thought he was bit by a Coral Snake and she didn't know what to do. We advised to give him
2 benadryl and let's watch him. Well, sure enough, his breathing became labored, so we rushed him up to UF Small Animal Clinic where he has now had 3 vials of antivenom. He is in an oxygen tank, on fluids, he is paralyzed, but he is holding his own.
We have been given an estimate by UF (in comments) of 7500 to 10,000. Although we thought this was extensive, this is a young pup, video in comments as well, and we felt his life was worth saving.
We can't help him if we can't raise at least 7500.00 of these funds, UF is demanding that from us to continue his treatment.
Every little bit helps and THANK YOU!!! Lets see if we can save this beautiful dogs life.
