BJ Shaw Racing (Chasing Racing Dream)

Hello World!

I am BJ Shaw. Since I was 12 I have taken steps to pursue my dream of being a professional race car driver in a top-tier formula category. In 2021, I won Driver of the Year in the Nexgeneracers Youth Motorsports program and claimed the most pole positions (7) in that series.

My progress continued in 2022 as I raced karts locally at Whiteland Raceway Park in the L206 Senior Club series and at New Castle Motorsports Park. To assist with my transition from Karts to Cars, I have taken formula racing classes at Lucas Oil Racing School at Sebring International Raceway in Florida and Skip Barber Racing School at Circuit of the Americas in Texas.

I promise myself daily that if I achieve my dream, I will give back to my community and help support other young racers. As a teenager, I realize that this will not be easy, however, I also know that nothing is impossible with God and if we rally together we can make this happen! I am currently evaluating formula racing opportunities for 2023. I will use the money earned here, to invest in race weekends and other needed items including tires, series entry fees, and additional training and development to get me to the next level (As well as post videos of my efforts on the gram and youtube!)
