BJ's Healing Journey

Donation protected
For those of you who know my sister you know she is many things……. feisty, fun and spirited are probably the first that come to mind.  She is also kind, generous and most of all independent and private in some areas of her life.  So, for us to now share this intimate part of her life is quite a huge step and one not taken without a lot of thought.

My sister, BJ Ayala, was first diagnosed in 2014 with cancer.   And with the support and guidance of a wonderful team of doctors, her caring friends and family, and caring church and spiritual family who have supported her with prayer and love she survived.

While she was able to live a five-year season free of treatments, the time has come again, and she has agreed to follow a treatment plan once again.  In true BJ spirit she is not going down without positive thoughts but, she cannot do this alone, she now needs the love and support of her worldwide family and friends.

As those of you who have gone through this with family members, you know the challenges that faces them with both medical tests, treatment, and financial struggles.  You also know how heartbreaking it is to watch a loved one go through all of this and feel helpless because there is really nothing you can do to physically take the pain away from them.  She has a wonderful husband Shawn, who supports her in every way, but this challenge has gotten bigger for just the two of them.  We can help in other ways and that is to show her that she has love and support from all of those she has touched throughout this lifelong journey.

My plead is to humbly ask for help so that all she has to be concerned about is getting to the treatment and figuring out with the help of her medical team the best path to take, not the added burden of having to figure out how to pay for it all.

There are three ways she needs you right now.   Please consider 1 or all three:

1)            Please consider donating to her ever mounting medical expenses.  Every little bit helps no matter how large or small the donation.
2)            Sharing her story in hopes that it reaches other caring friends who are able to donate.
3)            Keeping her in your prayers (lots and lots of prayers).

Please help me to create a "We Love You" support group to aid and carry her as she continues in this season of her life.
