As some of you may know, I got laid off from my salaried position as a managing editor the end of March. What most of you probably don’t know is that I discovered a lump in one of my breasts just two weeks after losing my job, and thus, the health insurance I had.

Fast-forward to now… I have been diagnosed with Class 3 (fast growing) Stage 2 (2 cm tumor) Triple-Negative (fast spreading) breast cancer--- the hardest type to treat, requiring more aggressive chemo.

I have a long road ahead of me--- endless appointments and treatments for at least the next 4 to 6 months.

I’m going to be missing a lot of work at the garden center (already have been missing a lot recovering from surgery) and don’t even know if I’ll be able to take on any more freelance work in Educational Publishing in the near future.

Any and all help to offset living and medical expenses as I embark on my healing journey would be most appreciated. I have thankfully been able to secure medical assistance, but that’s not going to pay my bills, and may not even pay for all the treatment options.

I never EVER thought I’d be asking for help like this, yet here I am. Thank you in advance for reading, donating, and/or contributing through thoughts and prayer.
