Dylan Adams

As some of you know, the Cowichan Valley is mourning the loss of an incredible man. On October 28th, at the young age of 33, Dylan Adams was suddenly taken from us unexpectedly. Many of us are left not only grieving the loss of our friend, but also pieces of ourselves. Dylan was an integral part of our story, without him, childhood would have needed to be re written. Without Dylan, I can’t say that anyone who ever knew him would be who they are today. His presence in our life was fundamental to our becoming. Anybody who ever had the honour of knowing Dylan knows what an impact his presence made on our lives. Many of us will forever be in his debt, because of his friendship we always belonged somewhere, we always had somewhere we could be and we always had someone we relied on. Dylan became so much more than an invaluable friend. First and foremost, he became the very proud dad to Avery Mayhem Adams, who is now 9, and Silas Wilder Adams, who is now 6. Additionally, he was the proud partner to the mother of his children, his high school sweet heart and eventually his long-time best friend, Megan Ripka. Megan is tasked with the responsibility of raising their children without his presence or financial contributions. Dylan also leaves behind his siblings; Jesse, Denyle, Andrew, Matt, Harley and they’re partners and his nieces and nephews.

Our request is that we do what we always do, our ask is that we support those who supported us when we needed it, and in this case, its on behalf of many people over many years. There are two little children who have lost their dad. Unfortunately, that is a void that can never be filled, but we can soften the financial burden put on their mother. We can make sure that we take care of the people who mattered to him, just like he took care of us whenever we all needed it.
