College Stint
Hi everyone. My name is Javin Zavala. I am 22 years old, and I am from Santa Maria, California. When I was in elementary school, I knew I was capable of great things after I realized how academically skilled I was. When I received my first electric guitar at the age of 14, I fell in love with the art form known as "music". I have since learned to play the bass guitar, drums, ukulele, I have taken vocal lessons, and am experienced with composition and production. I knew early on that I could write music for movies ,television, and video game greats.
I started working for part-time and full-time jobs for most of my time starting at the age of 16. I saved up what I could to buy a car, and then I started saving for school. I enrolled at a school I like, the Musician's Institute in Hollywood and am excited to start on April 4th. My problems arose when I got into a car accident, in which the repairs would wipe out most of my savings (the result of choosing "liability only" coverage).
I am meant to register for classes on March 22nd, (soon, I know) and make my first payment towards tuition this day. as well as meet with a housing manager who I've already given a down payment to. I do not currently have the money to make the first payment, nor do I have money to pay my first month's rent. I'm banking on financial aid and my student loan to pull through, but I'm not sure what their status' are, or if they'll be available by the date I need them.
I am already this far. I would be devastated if my dream would be cut short because of a car accident. I am just hoping to gain a little bit of ease as I squeeze from this city to LA. I just want to ensure my move, and make sure I don't starve while I'm living there.
This means a lot to me because I have all the confidence in the world that I will see my goals through after these courses, but I do not have the assurance that I will make it out to my destination. That's why I need your help. After my move, I will initially be reliant on financial aid and a federal loan, but I know I will find a job within the first two months of living there. I've always been good at seeking out people who need help, so I'm not worried about that, but I just hope that I can reap up any good karma I've obtained to be helped out myself.
I'm thankful for your time reading all of this, and am especially thankful to anyone willing to donate. If I am successful in moving, I will record a short EP and personally thank all of my supporters and donors in the credits.
