Hi everyone, this fundraiser is being started with the hopes to ease the financial burden that our dear friend, Anna, is now facing.
Anna’s husband, Alex, was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer, less than a year ago. He was doing well and responding to treatments and they got the exciting news that they would do surgery to remove what was left of the tumor in his bile duct and surrounding lymph nodes. (Many patients with cholangiocarcinoma do not make it to surgery, so this was wonderful news) Alex went in for surgery July 1st. After surgery the pathology report came back with cancer free borders and no cancer in the lymph nodes. It was a miracle!
There was so much hope, but his body would not remain stable and there were continuous complications.
He bravely fought and held on until July 24th. He passed away surrounded by his loved ones including his sweet wife Anna, his son Braden (16), Kyler (12), Maelee (11), Camden (9), and Harlee (5). This was not expected.
The world lost a beautiful soul and it will not be the same without his light. At this heart wrenching time, so many want to love, support, and serve the McDonald family. We set up this account for people to do just that, and to help Anna and the children as they adjust to a new life without their husband and father. We hope that it can lighten the incredible burden they are facing in a small way, and help them to be able to focus on quality time together for as long as possible.

Funeral services for Alex McDonald:
The viewing for friends and family will be Thursday Aug 1st from 6:00-8:00pm at the stake center located at 10725 E Point Twenty-Two Blvd, Mesa, AZ 85212.
The funeral will be Friday Aug 2nd at 11:00am at the same location.
