Black Enterprise Fund

The Black Enterprise Fund will empower the Black community of Madison and Dane County through funding five dynamic, successful, enterprise-building,Black-led nonprofit organizations. These organizations serve youth, entrepreneurs, job-seekers, young professionals, and the community at large. Funds gathered in this campaign will be divided equally among these organizations and provide sustainability for their ongoing work to engage and empower Black families and communities. The five partner organizations and their mission statements are below:
Madison365 uses excellent journalism to start conversations, find real and lasting solutions, build community, invite action and encourage emerging leaders in greater Madison's communities of color, and to foster dialog between members of diverse communities.
Maydm introduces girls and youth of color to opportunities in the technology field through interacting with code. We want to support underrepresented youth to recognizing their potential in the STEM field.
The Madison Black Chamber of Commerce empowers the greater Madison community by growing and sustaining Black owned businesses through education, advocacy and developing Black wealth to promote the power and impact of Black owned businesses.
Urban League of Greater Madison ensures that African Americans and other community members are educated, employed and empowered to live well, advance professionally and contribute to the common good in the 21st Century.
Boys & Girls Club of Dane County inspires and empowers all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring adults.
