Black History Month Florence

ITA La realtà di Black History Month Florence ha avviato Black History Month in Italia. Alla soglia della decima edizione abbiamo oltre 500 eventi alle spalle, una rete istituzionale di più di 100 collaborazioni, un centro di ricerca, una biblioteca e una squadra di 20 giovani volontari. Siamo una realtà dal basso, che ha costruito il suo percorso passo per passo con grande dedizione, energia e cura. Il Black History Month Florence celebra la storia, la cultura e il contributo delle persone afrodiscendenti. Quest’anno festeggiamo il decimo anniversario del BHMF, un traguardo che segna dieci anni di impegno, crescita e comunità.

Nel corso di questo decennio, abbiamo creato una rete solida che promuove la cultura afrodiscendente e affronta tematiche cruciali per il nostro presente e futuro. Per il Black History Month Florence 2025, vogliamo fare di più: rendere la nostra celebrazione ancora più autentica e coinvolgente per le nuove generazioni.

ENG The space of Black History Month Florence has launched Black History Month in Italy. As our tenth edition approaches, we have over 500 events behind us, an institutional network of more than 100 collaborations, a research center, a library, and a team of 20 young volunteers. We are a grassroots organization that has built its journey step by step with great dedication, energy, and care. Black History Month Florence celebrates the history, culture, and contributions of Afro-descendant people. This year, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of BHMF, a milestone that marks ten years of commitment, growth, and community.

Over this decade, we have built a strong network that promotes Afro-descendant culture and addresses crucial issues for our present and future. For Black History Month Florence 2025, we want to do even more: to make our celebration even more authentic and engaging for younger generations.
