Black ice rollover car accident

On Tuesday, 2/20/24, Chris and I were in a horrible car accident where Chris went through the windshield. I was driving us to work at 5AM and hit a patch of black ice. Our car started fishtailing. While struggling to keep the car on the road I hit a snow bank that sent the car airborne, and then roll four times! Chris was ejected through the windshield during the rollover. I stayed restrained by my seat belt and was able to crawl out the window to exit the car. Chris and I had to be transported from the scene by ambulance to St. Charles hospital. I have four lacerations on my head, bruising from the seat belt and some other minor cuts and bruises. Chris was not so lucky and sustained four broken ribs, major concussion, a broken neck, a lasceration on his liver, and both scapulas (back of shoulder) are broken! He has undergone surgery for his broken neck, and come through successfully. However, Chris is still admitted at the hospital in the ICU, and we do not have a predicted discharge date at this time.

We are asking for financial help at this time to help pay for medical bills, to help find another vehicle, and to help put our lives back together. I do not ask others for help lightly and any donation helps.
