WE GOT THE BILLBOARDS GOING! 7 months paid for so far for 3 digital billboards. We’re aiming for a whole year of THREE billboards.
The short story: to put a BLACK LIVES MATTER billboard in Harrison, AR.
The longer story: Since I was a child, I can remember traveling through Harrison, AR with my family and crying, feeling nauseous, due to the racist billboards I would see when I was passing through. I wanted to scream at someone. To tell them they were bad for posting these awful messages. I learned as I got older that the KKK still resides about 15 minutes from Harrison. Well, I want them to see our message now. I want them to drive by a big BLACK LIVES MATTER billboard! Also, I would really love to see such a positive message displayed to show our support to all the people that gathered to protest.
Arkansas is beautiful. Let’s show it! (Also, if anyone has any questions or concerns please reach out. I want to help the cause not hinder it, so I’m all ears!I’ll be posting receipt info and photos of the billboard, as well as having some friends help me understand the legal stuff.)
