Black Panther San Diego
Donation protected
A New York resident by the name of Frederick Joseph has launched the #BlackPantherChallenge. He challenged other communities to begin a GoFundMe account to afford the opportunity to attend the premier of Black Panther playing in theaters for the inner-city youth. The GoFundMe community has answered the call.
Armon Harvey and I, Silvina Galindo, both born and raised in Southeast San Diego are taking the initiative within our community by providing this opportunity not only to the youth but also to their family members. The rise in costs of going to a movie theater has discouraged families from attending; your contributions will eliminate that burden and have a direct impact on the Southeast community of San Diego.
The release of Marvel's film "Black Panther" is an excellent opportunity for young children in inner-cities to witness a black major cinematic and comic book character come to life. This representation is genuinely fundamental for young people, especially those who are often underserved and unprivileged.
We want these children to be able to see that regardless of color they too can be superheroes, royalty, and more. All children deserve to believe they can save the world, go on exciting adventures, or accomplish the impossible. So please help us send these families to a movie night, empower our youth, and make a difference. We appreciate you joining us in supporting our community and our children, who need us now more than ever.
