Black Veterans Recognition Awards

Welcome to our 4th Annual Black Veterans Recognition Awards,

December 7, 2023.

The Black Veterans Recognition Awards continues to celebrate the sacrifice of Black Veterans who have selflessly given their lives for the United States of America, beginning with the American Revolution. The theme for the 2023 Black Veterans Recognition Awards is

“Celebrating Black Veteran Excellence”.

Join us as we salute our men and women in uniform who managed to make an impact in service to their country, as well as, in service to their overall communities.

Some of the award recipients of 2023 include, but are not limited to: Honorable Governor (MD) Wes Moore, Honorable Donald M. Remy, 15th Sergeant Major of The Marine Corps John L. Estrada, Newport News Mayor Phillip Jones, Boxing Heavyweight Champion Raymond Anthony Mercer, just to name a few.

The event will be held at the HQ-DC House, the exclusive professional clubhouse, located in a historic building in the heart of downtown Washington, DC, owned and operated by The Burns Brothers - Mike and John Burns.

Mike Burns is a Black military veteran and Fortune 100 executive, and John is a seasoned attorney and dedicated community activist. Together, the Burns brothers created HQ-DC House to deliver carefully curated and culturally relevant experiences, combined with elements of glamor, community, and authenticity.

Join us on Thursday, December 7, 2023, in making this event another memorable celebration for our Black Veterans.
