Black Women Revolt Against Domestic Violence
Donation protected
Black Women Revolt is bringing to light the Black women’s narrative in domestic violence.
We were created to:
- Increase awareness about the impact of intergenerational violence in the Black community.
- Remove barriers for Black women who have experienced domestic abuse to receive access to culturally sensitive resources.
- Provide a designated space with resources specifically for Black women in San Francisco to help educate and heal as they recover from domestic abuse.
In SF, where we have resource centers geared towards different cultures but do not have anything specific to the Black community. The founders of Black Women Revolt and SF natives, Geoffrea and Lyn-Tise made it their mission to change that.
Black families are not immune to abuse and to meet that need, we are opening a resource center on JUNETEENTH 2021 and need YOUR help to further this incredible mission that will impact the lives of so many in San Francisco.
We are asking individuals and small businesses to contribute $100.00 and to share this gofundme with your networks. We are asking corporations to contribute even more, since domestic violence often impacts your employees even if you are unaware.
Check out blackwomenrevolt.org for more information on how you can get involved.
