Greetings to you!

We are mother and daughter writers who need your help to finish writing our 1st Black Superhero graphic novel, audiobook and screenplay, as part of a desire to make a difference,  with minority children of color.

We want passionately, to help provide positive images and role models they can identify with, to help inspire them to dream and achieve, and with a better self image-- by giving them hope-- because HEROES give HOPE.  

At the same time, it will entertain all of us-- and all youth.

We also feel passionately about creating work that presents good role models for everyone, and is enthralling, enlightening and uplifting, while being incredibly entertaining with an original twist, that all humanity can identify with-- A "feel good" story.

Our work is planned toward an exciting saga and book series. It's an epic action-adventure-supernatural fantasy, about a wholesome, metaphysically gifted teenager, who will BLAST OFF and save the world!-- He will deal with earthly problems like all teens... before catapulting into worldly ones-- with many twists, not yet explored on the big screen, or in young adult books.

This story will give youth of all races, a positive teen Superhero of Color to look up to, feel motivated by and validated by. It promotes images usually unseen and missing, due to racial media inequality. This inspirational kid’s story depicts a Black Teen Superhero, who helps bring people together in love, while saving the world, empowering his foster siblings, who are of diverse races, to be “heroes” too.  

The book is a sure read-- like Harry Potter and Hunger Games, with plenty of action, mystery and heart. We believe this important project will help give a much needed positive lift to us all-- while giving the extra good blessing of self esteem-- to youth of color, who have been left out of the superhero images-- and who have been thirsting for it.

So your funding will afford us updated writing tools, the precious time, and all the related activity needed to successfully finish writing, do re-writes and final drafts, and also give us the power to hire professional editors, readers, layout and illustrations, etc.

We are experienced writers who have worked as film reviewers, entertainment writers, and we have written creative works for PBS TV, radio, video, local youth productions, and internet podcasts and audio-books.

Please help us make a difference in the lives of Black and Brown and other minority youth, who may feel a lack of self worth or hopelessness, while also helping to fill in the gap of missing Black heroes, superheroes and positive role models for youth in media, and in general.
