Blad’s Care Fund

I would like to thank all of you who have very generously donated to Blad’s Care Fund. Tragically, my father lost his battle on December 9th. Please know that donations will go towards medical bills, end-of-life services, and a Celebration of Life memorial (to be held after the holiday season). Our family is ever-grateful for everyone’s love and support.

This is Kris Hernandez. For those who don’t know, my father Bladimir had a serious fall before Thanksgiving and suffered severe head trauma.

He and and my mother, Carol Hernandez, have been together for nearly 35 years. They have undergone just about every trial and tribulation a loving couple can. They just relocated to South Carolina in July to begin a fresh start after selling the home they have shared since 1987. In that home they raised a blended family of eight children and currently have 16 grandchildren and one great grandson.

This accident comes to a massive emotional blow to our family. As Bladimir’s health and future are still uncertain, we are doing something that we did not ever expect to have to do: asking for help. He will need specialized care for the foreseeable future and we appreciate any support given, be it a monetary donation or positive thoughts and prayers.
