Blair Aiken
Donation protected
On Sunday September 3rd, we received terrible news that would forever change us We lost our beloved Blair to suicide. His loss has had a tremendous impact on so many. Blairs Mum, Dad and Sister are trying to navigate through these heartbreaking times together. These funds will be going towards travel fees back and forth from Ottawa to BC, Celebrations expenses, legal fees etc. Blairs family would like to donate any remaining donations to a Mens Health Organization!
Blair was the best kind of person there is. He was kind and compassionate, gentle and humble. Anyone that knew him saw how his sense of humor could lift anyone's spirits. Blair would light up any room when he walked in and receiving a hug from Blair could make your day feel complete. He was witty and quick with his come backs and had jokes for days. Just a true genuine soul with a heart of gold and smile to match.
He grew up in Kanata, Ontario with his little sister & 8 Cousins. He spent a lot of time at home where family & friends would always be around. Family always gathering at Nans & Grandmas, Summers spent camping together or driving to Halifax to visit more family members.
Blair was constantly surrounded by love and wholeness. I think that's part of how it was so easy for him to show and share his love to the world, and how it was so naturally returned to him.
Blair moved to BC after having work there, he soon was falling in love with the mountains and the people. He spent the past 6 years building himself a life in BC , buying a house in the mountains, starting a concrete business, getting his dog Indie and found some incredible people who loved and cherished him like family and the feeling was so mutual!
He will forever remembered in the skateboard community, for his love for skating and for building many skate parks around Canada! He would always be eager to "test" the skate parks he built and loved seeing the excitement in the communities as he got close to finishing a project.
We will be holding a Celebration service in BC on Saturday September 23rd. The Celebration in Ottawa will be held at a later date to be confirmed.
We will always love you Blair and hold you forever in our hearts!
