On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Blake Counsell passed away suddenly at his home in Georgia. Blake leaves behind his two beautiful children, Kristen (age 13) and Chase (age 11), his wife Jannie, and tons of family and friends. He was only 52 years and was taken way too early.
Blake spent his early youth in Union City, TN and Madisonville and Owensboro KY. He graduated from Daviess County High School in Owensboro, KY.
Blake spent his entire adult life serving the United States. After serving in the US Army, Blake became a US Postal Service Mail Carrier, often the source of some of his funniest stories.
In 1999, Blake joined the US Secret Service as a Special Agent assigned to the New York Field Office. Blake served the USSS in many locations and in many areas to include the protection of the last four Presidents, numerous former Presidents and visiting Foreign Dignitaries.
Blake held many things dear to his heart, foremost was his family. His purpose in life was to provide for them and protect them. Blake loved a variety of activities, sports, and events. He was an avid Alabama football fan and Atlanta Braves fan. He loved all things about cars and trucks, especially performance cars and classic cars.
Blake was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Blake will be deeply missed by his family and those lucky enough to have known him.
Blake will always be remembered for his sense of humor. Rarely did anyone leave an encounter with Blake without laughing.
