Help Support Blake & the Henrichs Family

This Go Fund Me page is run by Blake's Backers in support of Blake and the Henrichs family.

Blake Henrichs, a freshman at Altoona High School, is an avid outdoorsman with a huge heart for hunting and fishing. Blake also enjoys athletics and is a big fan of LeBron James.

Blake was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), a group of inherited disorders characterized by progressive vision and night vision loss that can lead to central vision loss and progress to a person becoming legally blind.

Blake was recently diagnosed as legally blind, caused by the severity of RP that he was diagnosed with.

Blake has undergone extensive tests at U of M Fairview and occupational and mobility therapy for low vision. Mobility therapy will continue for years to come as he deals with the challenges of low vision and learns to accommodate changes in the vision he has left.

The goal with therapy is to help Blake function as independently as possible and help prepare him for his future.

Blake has a huge support system helping him navigate the changes he is experiencing. The money raised will assist the Henrichs family with house modifications necessary for Blake, extensive medical bills, and other support Blake and the family will need.
