Blake Wills' Medical Expenses

In May 2016, Blake started having back pain, after going to 3 different hospitals, they all said it was just sciatica & sent him on his way with steroids. The pain was only getting worse, so Heather and Blake finally got in to see an orthopedic who did an MRI & found masses along his spine & ribs & deterioration of his spine. They then got referred to an oncologist where they did a CT, bone image, & PET scan. His spine, pelvis, spleen & neck lit up. He also had 6 swollen lymph nodes, so they removed one to do a biopsy on. January 16th, 2017 the biopsy results told us he has Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 4. Blake will get his port-a-cath placed on January 26th, 2017. He will get a few tests (PFT & echo) done on January 27th, 2017 since the chemo he will be on can effect the heart & lungs. He will be given a few medicines to prevents infections but they will have to be very cautious. Blake will go through chemo (AVBD) for 6 months. After 4 doses they will do another PET scan & see if it shows improvement. If so they will drop one of the meds from chemo, if not then they will change to a more aggressive regimen. The day Blake started on short term disability from work (December 23rd) we sent in the claim but they still haven't approved it yet. so he hasn't been paid since December 23rd. They denied his FMLA since he hasn't been there a year, so he has no job security right now either. Heather is pregnant and the baby is due January 27. They will be welcoming a baby girl into the world and a little sister to their son Brodyn. Anything will help for this amazing family. Thank You.
